There are three months to go until the Finlandia Ski Marathon. The 2026 event will take place exceptionally early, on the first weekend of February, February 7–8, 2026.

The Open Nordic Walking European Championships, organised in cooperation by the International Nordic Walking Federation (INWA) and Finlandia Ski Marathon, took place in Lahti on September 12–14, 2025. This was the second year that INWA and Finlandia Ski Marathon jointly hosted a Nordic walking championship.

Finlandia Ski Marathon showcases Lahti’s winter sports heritage and provides excellent visibility for both its partners and local expertise.

Starting in 2025, participant medals at Finlandia-Skiing will tell a new, shared story – one of the trail, the landscape, and the meaningful stopping points along the route.

The International Nordic Walking Federation (INWA), together with Finlandia-hiihto, will host the European Nordic Walking Championships in Lahti on September 12-14, 2025.

During the week of Finlandia Ski Marathon, the saunas, ski trails, and ice swimming spots of the Lahti region welcomed a group of cheerful North American outdoor enthusiasts.

The 2025 Finlandia Ski Marathon received excellent feedback from participants, with a general satisfaction score of 8.53/10 and a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 8.86/10. The event attracted skiers from across Finland and abroad, and international participants especially praised the well-organized experience.
