Nordic Walking European Championships in Lahti, September 2025
The International Nordic Walking Federation (INWA), together with Finlandia-hiihto, will host the European Nordic Walking Championships in Lahti on September 12-14, 2025.
The event will bring together Nordic walking enthusiasts at the Salpausselkä Sports Centre, one of the world’s most iconic venues for Nordic winter sports. The partnership with Finlandia-hiihto ensures professional organization and ideal conditions for the event. The terrain at Salpausselkä is perfectly suited for competition.
The championships are open to everyone, with race categories for men and women organized by age group. There will be individual races, a relay competition, and the more relaxed Finlandia Fun- series for casual participants.
The event offers a chance to be active, compete and enjoy a great atmosphere with fellow Nordic walkers.
INWA is the world’s largest Nordic walking organization, active in over 30 countries and supported by 20 national member associations. Competitive Nordic walking events were first launched by INWA in 2017 and the sport has been steadily growing in popularity ever since.
Participants from a wide range of countries and age groups are expected to take part in the European Championships in Lahti.
