Route info & new elements

The snow conditions on the Finlandia-hiihto route are currently exceptionally good and the longest route will most probaply be 62 km length. The entire length of the route has been prepared and groomed many times already, and the long term forecasts constantly promise quite favorable weather for the winter outdoor activities. There are also shorter route options, i.e. 32 km and 20 km are also in Finlandia-hiihto program. As a new experience, you will reach the finish line in the upcoming Finlandia-hiihto via the famous and legendary "Intiaanikukkula", the last hill like at World Cup races except the easier  descent to Stadium.

The descent to the stadium is safer than in previous years, because at the J-bend it is not needed to descend directly to the stadium, but skier continue for approx. 30 m towards the double tunnels and then descend at a slower speed than before to the Lahti ski stadium. This change brings one more place for top skiers to fight for the positions and a safe and unique experience for other skiers. The final route is almost the same as the Salpausselkä World Cup next weekend.
