Competition organizer: KymiRing Triple organization (TWD-Länken is responsible for cycling, Finlandia-hiihto is responsible for roller skiing and roller skating, and Jasun Talli is responsible for running).

Event location

KymiRing Racing Circuit, Kymentie 748, 47400 Kausala (beside Road 12).

Start, finish and route

The start and finish are located on the start/finish lane of the racing circuit. The length of the lap is 4.5 km. The track is approximately 10 meters wide and the maximum gradient is 7.6%.

Race office

The race office is located close to start/finish area and is open on competition days starting one hour before the first start.

Race bibs

Race bibs are collected from the race office. Bibs are not returned.

Drink&Food service

Sports drinks will be available from the organizer. Own drink/food service is allowed in the service area on the back lane, on the right side of the track.

At the event venue.

Insurance

The competitor is responsible for his/her own insurance coverage. The organizer has organizer's liability insurance. The organizer has not insured the competitors.

Lost and found items

Lost and found items can be left at the information desk. Valuable lost and found items will be stored for three weeks after the event, contact info@finlandiahiihto.fi.

General rules of the competition

Roller skiing:

A helmet and ski glasses are mandatory. Competitors must use roller ski spikes and a ring or equivalent ring suitable for winter use, with a ring diameter of at least 30 mm. FIS rules article ICR 396.2.6. The ring rule (minimum diameter 30 mm) is also expected to be followed in hobby classes for safety reasons. In competition classes, the rule is mandatory.

Roller skating:

A helmet and ski glasses are mandatory. Roller skating can be done with or without poles.

Equipment

Roller skiing:

Competition, hobby and junior series are skied on the organizer's skis. There are 80 pairs of skis with NNN bindings for free style starts and 10 pairs of skis with SNS bindings. For classic technique starts, 60 pairs of skis with NNN bindings and 10 pairs of skis with SNS bindings are reserved. The speed of all skis is standard "6".

A fee of €600 will be charged to the competitor for non-returned skis.

Roller skating:

Own equipment.

Course of the competition

The competition formats are interval start prolog and mass start. If a competitor in mass start is passed during a lap, he/she is allowed to continue the competition until the end.

Tags for result service

Timing is done using an ankle tag. A fee of €100 will be charged for any tag that is not returned.

Awards and prize distribution

The awards ceremony will take place in the finish area immediately after the competition. The top three finishers in each category will be awarded.

Cycling

General rules of the competition

Elite:

The competition is held in accordance with the rules of the UCI and the SP. The competition is run as a line race, where the winner is determined by the finishing order of the last lap. Competitors who are overtaken during a lap will be eliminated from the competition. However, the overtaken main group determined by the chief judge will not be eliminated from the competition. Competitors who are overtaken will also be given a position in the results. Participants are required to have a valid competitor license from SP or another UCI member association. The number of riders/team is not limited.

Hobby:

The competition will be held in accordance with the applicable parts of the UCI and SP rules. The competition will be run as a 2-hour plus one-lap lap race, where the order will be decided based on the number of laps completed and the finishing order of the last lap. A road racing bike, gravel bike or cyclocross bike must be used in the competition. Time trial handlebars are prohibited. Electric-assisted bikes are not permitted. Participants are not required to have a valid competitor license from SP or another UCI member association.

Foor and drink service

Own foor and drink service is allowed in the fixed service area marked at the beginning of the back straight lane on the right side of the track.

Elite: on laps 7 – 20

Hobby: between an hour and an hour and a half

Technical service

Technical service and maintenance will take place in the finish area and in a marked area on the back straight lane on the right side of the track. During neutral lap service is not allowed. There will be no team or organizer service cars/service vehicles in the race.

Course of the competition

The race starts at the starting signal. There is no master start.

Elite:

The remaining laps of the race are displayed on the lap board located at the finish line. If a competitor is run over, he must stop the race and drive to the finish area without disturbing others and then move off the track. The run over competitor will be given a position in the results.

Hobby:

The elapsed race time is displayed on a display in the finish area. When the two hours have elapsed for the race leader, the bell for the final lap is rung. Once the race leader has crossed the finish line, everyone following the winner will cross the finish line.

Intermediate sprints

There are no intermediate sprint races in the competition.

Race bibs

(2 pcs) are attached to the lower back and to the left side (finish camera). In addition, the frame number must be attached to the bike. A poorly attached number may cause that the rider cannot be placed in the results list.

Awards and prize distribution

The awards ceremony will take place in the finish area immediately after the competition.

Elite:

The top three finishers in each category will be awarded as follows:

  1. 150 €

  2. 100 €

  3. 50 €

In addition, the best U19 rider will receive a prize (€50). Prizes can be cash and/or merchandise.

Hobby:

The top three finishers in each category will be awarded as follows:

  1. 100 €

  2. 70 €

  3. 50 €

In addition, there will be prizes for the best female rider (€70) and the best young rider (U17, U15) (€50). The prizes can be cash and/or merchandise.

Elite only. Team leaders meeting at 1 pm in the finish area.

The competition format is mass start. If a competitor is passed during a lap, he/she is allowed to continue the competition until the end.

Tags for result services

Timing is done using a race number tag. The race number is attached to the chest of the running suit.

The awards ceremony will take place in the finish area immediately after the competition. The top three finishers in each category will be awarded.
